The sixth day of training has ended today. It took place on the basis of the sewing workshop of the fashion house "Malika Duisenbayeva". The course is led by Malika Duisenbayeva.
Malika Muratzhanovna is widely known in the domestic fashion world as a designer in the fourth generation. She is a member of the Council of Businesswomen, organizer of various international fashion shows.
20 residents of the region study at free modeling and tailoring courses. They were selected from several hundred submitted applications.
"The initiative is implemented by the United Nations Development Program in Kazakhstan and NCE "Atameken", funded by the Asian Development Bank. It is within the framework of this partnership that such a large-scale CDWE project is being implemented, which gives the country's women the opportunity to study, develop and receive support. If this is a sewing business, then it starts with theory. The training starts from the basics. There are a lot of practical exercises in 14 days. The training is absolutely free, even all the necessary materials are provided," said Lyazzat Zhamankulova, consultant at the Center for the Development of Women's Entrepreneurship.
Upon completion of the course, graduates receive certificates.
Earlier, the Aktobe Center for the Development of Women's Entrepreneurship taught 20 women the basics of bakery and confectionery production, another 16 Aktobe women mastered the basics of the beauty industry.
"Practice shows that women are able to turn even their hobby into a source of income by starting to earn and contribute to the family budget. But to start their own business, many lack basic knowledge, incentive, motivation, support at the stages of development. More than 353 people have already received consultations in the Center for the Development of Women's Entrepreneurship at the Chamber of Entrepreneurs, which has been operating since March. Over one thousand services have been rendered. We hope that the work of this Center will strengthen the economic potential of the beautiful half, and the economy of our region as a whole. Any woman, including from the village, who wants to earn money, will know: here they will not just prompt her, but also help her in practice," said Dana Bekbauova, director of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Aktobe region.
One of the services in the framework of non-financial support for women entrepreneurs is to assess the current state of women's business.
In ten companies of Aktobe, according to the selection criteria, an assessment expert, deputy for economic Affairs of the Chamber "Atameken" of the Mangystau region Akku Aitzhanova worked.
The work was carried out within the framework of one of the services provided at the Center for the Development of Women's Entrepreneurship.
The expert assessed the current state of women's business by identifying development potential, conducting a business potential assessment, assisting in the development of a business strategy and referring women entrepreneurs to relevant service providers, including financial service providers, government agencies, experts, digital solution providers and mentors.
This work is important within the framework of the project, as it creates a platform for improving the business processes of women entrepreneurs' companies. Such an assessment is carried out using a methodology based on the standards of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) and on the potential of improvement measures, and in the future to prepare an action plan to eliminate the problems of the identified areas.
